Terminology Authoring - Apelon's Terminology Development Environment (TDE) software is the industry-leading solution for creating, managing and maintaining terminologies, especially formally-structured terminologies. Selected by the College of American Pathologists and Kaiser Permanente for the development of SNOMED RT and CT, it is also the modeling tool of choice for, among others, the American Medical Association for the development of the next version of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®), the National Cancer Institute for oncology terminologies, and the US Veterans Health Administration for its new National Drug File – Reference Terminology (NDF-RT™). TDE features a powerful GUI-based authoring/editing tool, Ontylog Description Logic classifier, version management, workflow and distributed conflict identification/resolution.

Terminology Management - Apelon's Distributed Terminology System (DTS) is the proven solution for managing, integrating, deploying and extending standard terminologies within integrated healthcare applications such as electronic medical record systems, real time decision support systems, order-entry systems, and interface engines. DTS is a scalable, high performance vocabulary server with a robust set of complementary components: a comprehensive terminology knowledgebase, a terminology subscription update service, a high-performance vocabulary server, an associated application programming interface (API), and sophisticated terminology applications. Apelon recently announced that DTS is now available on SourceForge as an open source project.

Terminology Mapping - Apelon's TermWorks is a unique, web services-based offering that provides powerful terminology mapping capabilities over the web. TermWorks gives end-users and system developers access to standard healthcare terminologies such as SNOMED CT, ICD-9, and RxNORM, along with associated search, navigation, and matching functions. These capabilities can be delivered via familiar Microsoft Office applications or through custom web interfaces. Terminology Browsing - Apelon's Mycroft is a free, standalone, multi-terminology browser that makes it easy to access, explore and search complex standardized terminologies such as SNOMED CT, ICD-9-CM and CPT. Using Mycroft, you can view concept hierarchies, see concept details, and search for concepts. Mycroft is complete - just download the software and terminologies (geographic restrictions may apply). Mycroft is a powerful yet simple solution for easy, intuitive access to critical healthcare data standards.
