ECRI SELECTS APELON TDE FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVICE NOMENCLATURE
ECRI has selected Apelon’s Terminology Development Environment (TDE) modeling tool for ongoing development of their Universal Medical Device Nomenclature System™ (UMDNS™). UMDNS is a standardized international nomenclature and computer coding system for medical devices. ORACLE SELECTS APELON FOR TERMINOLOGY MANAGEMENT SOLUTION
Apelon has announced that it will provide terminology management services for the Oracle® Healthcare Transaction Base (HTB) suite of products. Apelon will coordinate the acquisition and integration of standard healthcare terminologies for the Oracle HTB, and their subsequent distribution to its worldwide customers. FDA OFFICE OF WOMEN'S HEALTH SELECTS APELON TO DEVELOP TERMINOLOGY-ENABLED REPOSITORY FOR DRUG INFORMATION
Apelon has received a new contract funded by the Office of Women’s Health (OWH) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to support the creation of an electronic drug label repository . AMA AND APELON TO COLLABORATE ON NEW VERSION OF CPT
Apelon has entered into a joint development agreement with the American Medical Association (AMA) for the completion of a new version of the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and for co-development of associated software products. The new version of CPT will be a more consistent and more comprehensive coding system, supporting better capture, aggregation, and analysis of clinical procedure data, leading to more efficient, and higher quality, patient care. APELON AWARDED $4.7M CONTRACT FROM VA
Apelon has been awarded a $4.7 million contract by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for terminology software and services to assist the VA in the development of an Enterprise Reference Terminology (ERT). The project which includes Apelon's modeling and vocabulary server products, will facilitate the transfer of patient data between and among VA Medical Centers, and increase the compatibility of veteran health data for decision support, analysis of treatment plans, disease surveillance, and outcomes measurement.
