APELON ANNOUNCES VOCABULARY TRANSLATION SOFTWARE FOR HEALTHCARE NETWORKS
Translator Integrates with New Intel® SOA Expressway for Healthcare
World Health Care Congress, Washington, April 21, 2008 – Apelon, Inc., a leading provider of terminology and data interoperability solutions, today announced that its terminology asset management platform is a validated ecosystem component of the Intel® SOA Expressway for Healthcare.
The Intel® SOA Expressway for Healthcare is a software solution that provides an efficient way to exchange healthcare information within hospitals across health information networks. The Intel solution is based on a Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA), providing a very accessible, scalable, and standards-based platform for interoperability. Apelon’s terminology component provides controlled medical vocabulary translation for healthcare messages using industry standard terminologies, and enables the management of industry standards, local vocabularies and their associated mappings.
