[April 2008] Apelon's terminology asset management platform, consisting of the Distributed Terminology System (DTS) platform, TermWorks mapping software, and associated data mapping, consultation and terminology update services, has been validated as a certified ecosystem component of the Intel® SOA Expressway for Healthcare, a software solution that provides an efficient way to exchange healthcare information within hospitals across health information networks. The Intel solution is based on a Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and utilizes Apelon’s terminology component to provide controlled medical vocabulary translation for healthcare messages using industry standard terminologies, and enables the management of industry standards, local vocabularies and their associated mappings.
